Yeah, it's not exactly a hub for European cafe terrace culture, is it?

Cheers!

On The Ball, it's been a couple of years since I been there and most of the pubs I went to were in the centre straight off the street with no outside areas. Some right dives but full of characters. There's probably quite a few with outside seating now to get round Covid. Have a great time up there!

I'm going up there in a couple of weeks for a weekend away. In this era of outdoor table booking, are there any pubs you'd recommend I book a table outside?

I used to regularly travel to Glasgow on a monthly basis for work for a while. A great place for pubs and brilliant curry houses. Interesting city as the streets are like a grid box. All straight and right angles. Apparently New York City road grids were based on Glasgow. Plus its the only city where a motorway runs through the centre - overhead. All other motorways go round a city. Anyway a brilliant place to eat and drink. You don't have to stagger too far for the next pint. Mind you don't expect to understand a bloody word anyone says. Definately worth a trip up there.
